I am extremely happy to inform you that Dharmsinh Desai University Alumni Association (DDU Alumni), under able leadership of our President, Dr. H. M. Desai is very active and functioning quite well. DDU Alumni is giving merit cum means scholarships every year to 30 deserving students Rs.5000/- each. Providing subsidized notebooks and travel assistance for participating in any academic activity anywhere in India. Apart from this there is Anil M Shah Scholarship worth Rs. 1 Lakh and Jan Utkarsh Trust interest free Loan scholarship of Rs. 1 lakh every year. However, considering the escalation in cost of education, the numbers of needy students and the hassle in getting loan from banks, it is felt that DDU Alumni should provide interest free loan scholarship to more number of students.
During 9th AGM, it was decided to establish a corpus for “Interest Free Loan Scholarship” to support the deserving and needy students of D.D. University. There was an excellent immediate response from those who where present at the AGM. It was proposed that we should at least contribute 1day salary/ income out of 365 days of income for the years after getting our degree from D.D. University (DDIT). Your support to the deserving students will help them in changing their life and thus you will be contributing in giving them a bright future.
