Golden Jubilee of 1975 Pass Out and Silver Jubilee of 2000 Pass Out -

The Grand Reunion 2025 and Jubilee Celebration was held on 14th December 2025 at DDU by the DDU Alumni Association. If you missed the opportunity to enjoy yourself in person, this report will guide you through the day. Hopefully, you will envision what other batches could do with enough enthusiasm.

9:00 to 10:30 AM - Registration and Breakfast

Breakfast included Upama and Gota, and tea-coffee. ☕ Spouses accompanying some friends enjoyed the event as much as the alumni. The joy of meeting old friends was obvious on each face.

10:30 to 11:30 AM - Campus Visit

Attendees visited the Dr. N D Desai Hospital, a 700-bed facility offering free services, including dialysis and complex surgeries. The hospital treats over 800 outpatients daily and has earned a reputation leading to an increase in master's program seats.

11:30 to 1:00 PM - Grand Reunion 2025

Dr. H M Desai delivered a riveting 45-minute presentation about the transformation of DDIT into a reputed university, despite his health challenges. Key highlights included:

The sumptuous lunch consisted of Jalebi & Undhiyu, Dudh pak, Kalakand Vedhami, Puri, Lilva ni Kachori, Mixed Vegetable, Kashmiri Dum Aalu, Daal- Rice,etc. from the famous Caterer of Vadodara, Varsha Exotic.

2:30 to 3:30 PM - Inaugural Ceremony

A State of Art Computer Centre has been established for the Department of Chemical Engineering by the Class of 1975 Chem at an estimated cost of Rs. 51 lakhs. Shree Harshad K Patel has committed Rs 25 lakh. The Centre was inaugurated by the alumni of 1975. The centre has capacity for 36 students and is supposed to have sophisticated software for a variety of simulation and optimization exercise.

Contributions for Computer Centre

The Alumni of 1975 graduates of the Department of Chemical Engineering have proposed to collect contributions for State of Art Computer Centre in the department. The following table lists the donors who donated Rs.1 L and above.

3:30 to 4:30 PM - Cultural Program

The alumni enjoyed various performances during the cultural program.

4:30 PM Onwards - High Tea

After the cultural program, alumni enjoyed high tea consisting of Vada Paw, Samosa, and Tea-Coffee.

The day was a wonderful experience enjoyed by all.

The Class of 1999 Chemical Engineering Branch marked the occasion with color-coordinated custom-made t-shirts.

Breakfast included Fafada, Jalebi, Gota, and tea-coffee. ☕ Spouses accompanying some friends also enjoyed the event.

11:30 to 1:00 PM - Annual General Meeting (AGM)

400 final-year students receiving job offers six months before graduation.
ATUL Chemicals hiring 17 Chemical Engineering graduates.

1:00 to 2:00 PM - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Department of Chemical Engineering's six classrooms were converted into Smart Classes with a 26-lakh contribution by the 1974 batch alumni to commemorate their Golden Jubilee.
